Jet Analytics - Microsoft Dynamics data, ready for Fabric and Power BI

Dynamics holds the numbers your business runs on, in tables that were never built for reporting. Jet Analytics turns them into a governed data model in your own Microsoft cloud. We implement it, train your team and support it, so the numbers stay right long after go-live. Best for organisations that want a Dynamics data platform they own, in their own Microsoft cloud.

The gap Jet Analytics closes

Getting reliable reporting out of Microsoft Dynamics is harder than it should be. The tables are complex, every company is set up slightly differently, and building a data warehouse by hand takes months of specialist time. Many teams end up with reports that are slow, fragile, or rebuilt in Excel every month.

Jet Analytics starts with the hard part already done. Its pre-built Dynamics data models join the right tables and use business terms, then load your data into Microsoft Fabric, Azure or SQL Server. Your reports run on one governed model instead of a tangle of exports.

Our partnership

Hopton and Jet Analytics

Software gets the data out. It does not decide what your business needs to measure, design reports people trust, or keep everything working as Dynamics changes. That is our job.

We are Microsoft data and analytics specialists. Analytics is all we do. We implement Jet Analytics as part of your wider data estate, build the Power BI reporting on top, train your team, and stay accountable for the whole chain from Dynamics to the board pack.

About Jet Analytics

What Jet Analytics is

Jet Analytics is a data integration and automation platform from insightsoftware, built for Microsoft Dynamics, including Dynamics 365 Business Central and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations. It turns ERP tables into a governed data warehouse or lakehouse in your own cloud and feeds Power BI and other reporting tools. Hopton Analytics, a Jet Analytics partner for the UK and Ireland, implements it, trains your team and supports it as part of your wider data estate.

Already using Jet Analytics or Jet Reports? insightsoftware launched the new, cloud-native Jet Analytics in June 2026, built with TimeXtender's data integration technology. It adds native support for Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake and Azure Data Lake. Jet Analytics Classic remains available and fully supported for SQL Server, on-premises and air-gapped deployments; insightsoftware's new development is going into the cloud platform. You can move on your own timeline, and we will help you plan it.

Stay on Jet Analytics Classic for now if your data must stay on your own servers, you need an on-premises deployment, or your current SQL Server setup does what you need, bearing in mind that new features are landing on the cloud platform. Move to the new Jet Analytics if you are moving to Microsoft Fabric or the cloud, you want to combine Dynamics with other sources in one platform, or you want new features as they are released.

Already running Jet Reports? We support it on Business Central, Finance and Operations, NAV, AX and GP, and can add Jet Analytics underneath when you need a governed data model. Book a Jet review.

Common questions

Questions we get asked

What is Jet Analytics?

Jet Analytics is a data integration and automation platform from insightsoftware, built for Microsoft Dynamics. It turns ERP tables into a governed data warehouse or lakehouse and feeds Power BI, Tableau or Qlik. It runs on Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Snowflake or SQL Server. Read our post What is the new Jet Analytics from insightsoftware.

What is the difference between Jet Analytics and Jet Reports?

The difference between Jet Analytics and Jet Reports is scope. Jet Reports is Excel-based financial reporting on Microsoft Dynamics. Jet Analytics builds a governed data warehouse or lakehouse that Power BI and other tools report from. We support both. Read our post Jet Analytics vs Jet Reports: which do you need.

Should we move from Jet Analytics Classic to the new Jet Analytics?

Whether to move from Jet Analytics Classic to the new Jet Analytics depends on where your data needs to live. Classic remains available and fully supported for SQL Server, on-premises and air-gapped deployments, with new features landing on the cloud platform. The new version, launched in June 2026, adds native Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake and Azure Data Lake support, so it suits organisations moving to the cloud. Read our post Should we migrate from Jet Analytics Classic to the new cloud platform.

Do we need Jet Analytics if we are moving to Microsoft Fabric?

Whether you need Jet Analytics on Microsoft Fabric depends on your Dynamics estate. With many companies or complex finance models, Jet saves a lot of build work. With a single Business Central company, Fabric mirroring and a well-built semantic model may be enough. We will tell you which. Read our post How does Jet Analytics work with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.

Which Dynamics systems does Jet Analytics support?

Jet Analytics supports Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, NAV, AX and GP, using pre-built data entities that join the right tables and use business-friendly names.

Can Jet Analytics report on Dynamics 365 Business Central?

Yes, Jet Analytics reports on Dynamics 365 Business Central. Its pre-built Business Central data entities join the right tables and name them in business terms, then load them into a governed model in Microsoft Fabric, Azure or SQL Server that Power BI reports from. It also handles several Business Central companies, and NAV history, in one model. See our Business Central reporting page for the other routes.

Does Jet Analytics work with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations?

Yes, Jet Analytics works with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, as well as AX, using pre-built Finance and Operations data entities for finance, sales, purchasing and inventory. Hopton implements it on Microsoft Fabric, Azure or SQL Server and builds the Power BI reporting on top, so finance and operations teams report from one governed model rather than exports.

Where is our data held when we use Jet Analytics?

When you use Jet Analytics, your data stays in your own environment. Jet works on metadata and runs processing inside your chosen storage, such as Fabric, Azure or your own SQL Server, with security down to row and column level.

Is Hopton an official Jet Analytics partner?

Yes, Hopton Analytics is a Jet Analytics partner for the UK and Ireland. We implement, train and support Jet Analytics for Dynamics customers, and work alongside Business Central and Dynamics partners as their analytics team.

How do we get started with Jet Analytics?

Getting started with Jet Analytics begins with a free audit. We look at your Dynamics estate and your reporting, then recommend whether Jet Analytics is the right route and what a first phase would deliver. Read our post How much does Jet Analytics cost to implement in the UK.
